Corey Clark is an Atlanta-based sportswriter who has covered high
school and college football for the past eight years. He started his
career as a sports writer in Thomasville, Georgia in 1998 and was named
sports editor of the Valdosta Daily Times the following year. After
covering Valdosta High, the nation’s “winningest” high school football
team, Clark returned to the Atlanta area to cover high school sports
for the Gwinnett Daily Post. In over four years with the Post, the
Atlanta area’s second-largest paper, Clark covered more than two dozen
players that went on to sign Division-I scholarships. The University of
Georgia graduate has earned numerous state awards for his sports
writing and editing. He lives with his wife, Shanna, in Suwanee,
Georgia.
Ira Schoffel is a sportswriter in Tallahassee, Florida, with 15 years
of experience covering high school and college athletics. Schoffel
started his professional career while studying journalism at the
University of Florida. Since 1991, he has served as a sports writer and
sports editor for numerous newspapers and Web sites in Florida, Georgia
and Maryland. Schoffel is currently managing editor of The Osceola, a
weekly newspaper devoted to covering Florida State University
athletics, and is a regular contributor to the Miami Herald and Florida
Times-Union. He has earned numerous state awards for his sports
writing, news writing and editing. He lives with his wife, Kim, and
their two daughters.
